Serengeti wildebeests migration is a display of natural wonders with over two million wildebeests, zebras, and antelope traveling over 450 miles across the plain to ensure their survival, unaware that there’s danger presented by the stalking lions and cheetahs among other predators of the wildlife.
Witness huge crocodiles of the Mara River as they wait for the herbivorous to cross the swollen Mara River and enter into Masai Mara Game Reserve from Serengeti National Park.
Tanzania is one of the best countries in Africa to witness the wildebeest migration. This tour combines Serengeti wildebeest migration with a cultural tour as well as game drive viewing in Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha City
A staff member of Guides of Africa will pick you up from the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). From here you will be driven to your hotel in Arusha and gain briefing on your upcoming safari. Enjoy a restful night before beginning your adventure tomorrow!
Arusha, also known as “A” Town by the locals, is situated at the foot of Mount Meru, Africa’s 5th highest mountain. The altitude gives the city a pleasant climate and lush green environment. Arusha is not a particularly attractive city in itself and is regarded by many visitors as little more than a necessary stopover before their safari starts in earnest.
However, the natural charm of the Tanzanians and the buzz of a fast-growing city mean that Arusha has plenty to offer for those who are prepared to see beyond their air-conditioned safari trucks and satellite-TV equipped hotel rooms

Day 2: Arusha – North Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked up from and drive to Arusha airport for flight to North Serengeti. After you arrived, proceed to a game drive in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails. In the evening, drive to the lodge for evening leisure and overnight.
Witness a million of wildebeests, each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 miles) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north.

Day 3: North Serengeti
Spend a full day in north Serengeti mostly exploring the Migration (An option of doing a Hot Air Balloon is in this area)
Serengeti National Park, Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area, with prides of lion up to 30 strong, however, from July to October the area turns into a wildlife paradise.
The key feature is the Mara River and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Please take note – to actually finding a crossing is very difficult and is sometimes a matter of luck.

Day 4: Serengeti North – Serengeti National Park (Central)
After breakfast, you will be heading to central Serengeti with picnic lunch, and game drives en route, afternoon game in Serengeti Central Part. Then later proceed to the camp for evening leisure and overnight.
Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park. A UNESCO world heritage site and recently proclaimed the 7th wonder of the world, Serengeti is famed for its annual migration where some six million hooves pound the open plains.
Serengeti offers an exotic game viewing experience in the whole of Africa giving you an up-close look of the animals you’ve only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park (Central)
Have a full day game in the area. Serengeti central is most famous for the big and small cats.

Day 6: Serengeti Central – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, you will continue with game viewing while heading to Ngorongoro. Proceed to the camp or lodge for evening leisure and overnight.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
Early breakfast, descend the crater for a game viewing with your picnic lunch boxes as to maximize your time on the game. Spend a full day into the crater maximize chances of viewing more wildlife.
This is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Great Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. It is not a national park in the strict sense of the word but was rather established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It exists to safeguard the interests of indigenous people as well as promote tourism. Thus, guests on safari have the unique.

Day 8: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara for game viewing. Then later drive to the lodge for evening leisure and overnight.

Day 9: Lake Manyara – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire for game viewing later drive to the lodge for evening leisure and overnight.
Tarangire is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania after Ruaha, Serengeti, Mikumi, Katavi, and Mkomazi. Activities will include a wildlife game drive where you can see pythons climb trees, as well as lions and leopards among others.
For the bird lovers, keep an eye for the screeching flocks of colorful yellow-collared lovebirds, and the somewhat drabber rufous-tailed weaver and ashy starling. These are all endemic to the dry savannah of north-central Tanzania.

Day 10: Tarangire – Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport
After breakfast, you will have a morning game reviewing in Tarangire. Later, you will be driven back to Arusha and proceed to Kilimanjaro airport for flight back home.
